Happy Birthday DJ!

I had fun decorating this cupcake tree for DJ!

The birthday boy admiring his presents.

Mom, take my puzzle piece off of your head!
(The things we do for a good picture)

I like this present!

Very pleased with my cupcake tree!

My mommy was having so much fun watching me admire my truck & tractor cupcakes.
Trying to blow out my candle. Mommy gave me some help eventually.

I've been trying to get to these cupcakes all day . . . yummy!
Can't wait to taste this tractor!
DJ was quick to disassemble his cupcake tree.
Off he goes with his new dump truck!

DJ really enjoyed his cupcakes & was wired all night because of them. He went to sleep at 1am and got up at 5am with a tummy ache --he is now napping (and it's only 10am) while I pack for California! At his next birthday party in California he's only getting a small taste of the cake.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRECIOUS DJ!!!

DJ Enjoying the Snow!

I thought this picture of DJ enjoying the snow was just too cute! We just left to get his haircut (to get him all ready for our trip to CA next week) and right as we started driving off the snow started really falling so we headed back home, salted the driveway, played a little outdoors and from the looks of things will be inside the rest of the day! Just another exciting day in New York!

Snow!

Daryn putting DJ's gloves on him.
DJ loves our "snowmaaaan!!!" --as he calls it.
(Mom, thanks for making us the hats and scarf!)

Jenna (our neighbor & our friend) made us this beautiful Gingerbread house

Jenna and DJ stayed warm inside while we picked out a Christmas tree

This was the first time we shopped for Christams trees covered in snow

DJ emptied all of our Christmas boxes for us.

DJ checking out our tree topper

Daddy's big helper!

DJ was mesmerized by all the lights daddy put on the tree

Daddy & DJ show off their new ornaments.
Daryn has a MetroCard (a subway ticket) & DJ got a dump truck

We woke up to a winter wonderland this morning. I have to admit I've been excited for our first snow of the year (do I sound like an Eastcoaster now or what!?). I was so happy it happened on a weekend so Daryn could be home to enjoy the day with us. DJ was thrilled to see it from the inside of the house although once we got out into it he wasn't so excited anymore (he is a Californian at heart!). This afternoon we went shopping for a Christmas tree then came home and ate goodies baked by Jenna and I as we decorated it.

DJ has put the wonder back into Christmas for Daryn and I as it is so much fun to watch him get excited over everything (the neighbors lights & decorations, the tree, his new ornament, etc. . .).

Friday Night in Manhattan

DJ happy to be out on the town!

Looking like a true New Yorker --walking fast, head down,
getting from point A to B in a hurry.

Our final destination --Virgil's BBQ in Time Square. We love this place as it is
very loud so DJ can make all the noise he wants while we enjoy the great ribs.

DJ was a big fan of the ribs as well!

Satisfied Customers!

Thanksgiving

DJ filling his car with leaves

DeAnna and I enjoying our time in the kitchen
(I must admit she did most of the work)

Daryn insisted on smoking a turkey as well --I think this will be a tradition at our house. It was delicious.

Daryn --the master turkey carver!

Thanksgiving was wonderful and it was a treat to have Daryn's parents and our friend Shavonne here in our home to share it with us.

Watching DJ enjoy his Thanksgiving feast was the highlight of my day.

Enjoying our time together

Enjoying a Crisp Cool Day

I love my tree swing (even when it's really cold) --thank you daddy!
Stop taking pictures and pick me up mom!

I hear some strange noises out front

Today the cold weather really kicked in as you can see how DJ is dressed to play in the backyard. However, I'm not complaining as the sky is crystal clear and the sun is shining bright (and humid days are far behind us)! Thanks for stopping by to see us! Now off I got to peak at everyone elses sites . . .

DJ at the Harbor

I love these pictures of DJ. This is at the Mamaroneck Harbor where we attend our mommy-and-me class and go to the park regularly. In fact, when DJ sees these pictures he says "boats . . . sandbo . . . play grou (the last two words are for sandbox and play group which he calls our mommy-and-me class)" --He loves it here!

Stone Barn at Blue Hill

We had a great time today at Blue Hill at Stone Barn as fall was definitely in the air. We soaked up the beautiful fall colors delicious apples and fennel soup. Daddy enjoyed a duck panini which was a little too adventurous for DJ and mommy's tastebuds. (Blue Hill consists of acres and acres of pasture & farmland where organic crops and livestock are grown for the restaurant and cafe on site.)
