Uncle Kyle is Here!

We are so happy that Uncle Kyle made a weekend stop at our home during his East Coast business trip. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful brother, Uncle & friend and we are so excited that he's here!

Kyle played "family photographer" for us before we all headed off to breakfast this morning. (It's nice to get all four of us in a picture once in awhile) Thank you Kyle!

DJ's Gym Class

Here is a little glimpse into DJ's gym class (I even uploaded a little video this time--DJ loves this song from the movie cars). Note to Amy and Kyle: Don't be jealous of DJ's mad skills . . . Kenyon will catch up one of these days.

During this balancing activity the kids pretended to be surfers while the instructor "made waves." After a few seconds of practice the teacher said to DJ, "okay, now lets see you surf on BIG waves" to which DJ quickly replied in a very concerned tone "NO, just MEDIUM waves!"

The Roller Coaster

Gavin loved his first ride on the roller coaster (the same roller coaster that terrified poor DJ). Gavin stood the entire time he was riding around on it . . . too much excitement to just sit there.

DJ's first roller coaster ride about 2 1/2 years ago. Just got a kick out of their very different reactions to their first ride. (Thanks again Grandma for DJ's 1st birthday present.)

Brotherly Love

I wonder if I would have let DJ ride around like this at 7 months with a 3-year old?

If DJ can keep Gavin entertained for a few minutes I'm all for letting him play in the playpen too.

We've been . . .

tasting new things,

trying so hard to crawl,

and getting so frustrated that we can't get very far.

We've been hard at work building "elegator" (elevator) cars,

and so proud of our results.

We've been bouncing & twisting,

and trying to climb like a monkey.

We've been enjoying baths with the neighbor's dog (Jackson)

and we've been enjoying stops from the ice cream truck with neighborhood friends.
