A Fun Saturday Morning

This morning we enjoyed our break from the rain by checking out the Kensico Dam which holds back the water supply to NYC (30 billion gallons worth). It is about 20 minutes from our home. We could not go to the top of it because it has been closed since 9/11. The site and parks around it however are beautiful and we had a fun time exploring. (As I've already complained to most of you about, it has rained just about every day this June. I'm trying to stay positive by reminding myself that it's all this rain that keeps NY so beautiful and green.)

Summertime Fun

DJ has decided he isn't into wearing swimshorts this year since "they are NOT COMFORTBLE WHEN THEY GET WET!"

DJ "helping" Gavin smile.

Happy Father's Day!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!
We enjoyed a wonderful brunch at an adorable bed-and-breakfast inn
in Bedford, NY. The rain (which has been coming just about every day this June) gave us a break until the drive home (thank you rain!). And thank you Daryn for being such an
amazing father to our precious boys!
(Just wish we could have celebrated with our wonderful dads back "home." We
miss you dads and are so blessed to have not one but two awesome fathers!)

NYC

DJ on the train to NYC. We headed there last weekend for the annual BBQ festival at Madison Sqaure Park. It rained on and off all day but we enjoyed ourselves anyhow.

Gavin didn't seem to mind the pouring rain
(which for some reason you can't see in the picture)
