Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

I must admit the first snowfall is exciting (even when it happens the night before your supposed to be flying to California and you're having visions of chaos at the airport) DJ loved the snow for the first time. It's the first year he can actually move in all his bulky snow clothes. He was in heaven filling his dump truck with all this soft white fluffy stuff.

Freezing cold (with no gloves on) and having fun! (So not DJ. I must say I'm pretty suprised at his love of the snow since he can be quite high maintenance)

This is what he looked like last year when I took him out into the snow. This is what he looks like this year when his mommy tells him he has to come inside and put gloves on.

The falls are fun this year (no, this isn't me posing him which is an impossible task these days)

What a great beginning to two weeks of vacation! Daryn is making way for our car which is stuck at the bottom of the hill outside our neighborhood. Only the vehicles with 4wd or all-wheel-drive are making it up (hint hint honey!)

DJ's Gingerbready House

Once DJ started to drive the little car we had parked by the front "through the snow!" and knocking the candies off of our gingerbread house I decided we were all done. He also started saying "I need to find my snowplow!" That just didn't sound good.

Christmas time is here!

DJ helped his daddy pick out the Christmas tree in the rain while mommy and Gavin stayed home.

He also loved hanging the ornaments

Throughout the evening as we decorated the tree he said several times in dramatic DJ fashion; "Christmas is fun!" "I love Christmas!" or the cutest was when I turned off the Christmas music and he wanted me to turn it back on so he said "Mom, I like the Christmas music . . . I like the Jingle Belt!"

Life with Gavin

DJ is a great big brother and loves holding Gavin and helping whenever he can. We keep asking him if he wants us to take Gavin back to the hospital but he keeps saying "no, Gavin stays here in our home."

DJ loves all the boxes filled with fun stuff arriving at our house these days.

DJ (who never took a pacifier) went through a couple days of wanting one too. We didn't make a big deal out of it and now he's content just giving them to his little brother.

Gavin Tristan has arrived and we are so grateful for this wonderful blessing! 8lbs. 11oz., 22inches, born at 6:57pm on October 21st. We are all healthy, happy and so glad to be home!

Mommy's newest little pumpkin! (DJ was in the kitchen and heard me saying to Gavin, (as I was nursing him in the other room) "oh, you're such a precious pumpkin" and DJ yelled out to me "I'll be right there mom!" Daryn says I need to find a new name but every cute name has already been taken by DJ (Cutie, Sweetie Pie, etc . . . ) so this should be interesting.

Our little Gavin is finally here for us to hold and love on! Praise God for this precious miracle!

Trucks and Dirt!

Give this boy some dirt, trucks and a shovel and he's in heaven! DJ loves being outside in the dirt while his daddy gets yard work done.

"Uh, Oh . . . it's getting dark and mom is coming outside to check on me and daddy. She's going to ruin all the fun!"

Dancing With The Stars

Dancing with the Stars is back and DJ has so much fun "dancing" (running and jumping around) to the music and making his mommy laugh.

Burning off that pumpkin bread my mommy let me eat way to much of tonight.

Now that sort of looks like a dance move, right?

Oops! I danced my way into the tv stand.

I needed a break after I got this dancing ouchie.
